OU Represents This Weekend!

Ohio University was represented well at the Ohio State ACIS Flag Football Regional Tournament this weekend. Two officials, two staff members, and the Co-Rec team Past Our Prime made the short trip to Columbus.

Past Our Prime finished pool play 1-2, but fought back on Sunday and came away with the Championship!

Sophomore Mike Scholze and senior Doug Vinci officiated at the tournament. Mike had a great first tournament culminating in working field judge for a Semi-Final on Sunday. Doug began the tournament as a crew chief and performed as such. He worked referee in the Mens Final and was named an All-Tournament Official. He received a bid to the ACIS National Championships at the University of West Florida Dec. 28-30!

Graduate Assistants Haley Drometer and Sean Butler served on staff at the tournament as well. Haley worked on the Officials Committee and Sean worked as Field Marshal.

Another Bobcat had success a bit further away from Ohio. Jon Corum flew cross country to officiate at the UCLA Nirsa Flag Football Regional. Jet lag didn't keep him from performing at his best. He had an incredible first tournament culminating in working back judge in the Co-Rec Final and being named an alternate for the NIRSA National Championships at University of Texas A&M in January!

Congratulations to these Ohio University students and staff!
